Update 20 February 2024

1. New Feature: User Consent for Surveillance Activities
We've introduced a new feature that enhances user privacy and control. Now, users will be notified of any surveillance activities   (like screen, webcam, and sound recording...) and can choose to allow or disallow these actions. This update underscores our commitment to transparency and user autonomy.

In certain situations, it's crucial to inform the user when surveillance activities are being conducted. This new feature not only provides users with greater privacy and control over their data but also has the potential to improve their work efficiency. By notifying users about activities such as screen recording, webcam, or audio recording, they are made aware of monitoring processes, which can motivate better performance and adherence to best practices. Users will be notified and will have the option to approve or deny these activities. However, organizations have the flexibility to configure the feature to bypass user consent, opting instead to simply inform users about the surveillance. This approach still emphasizes our commitment to transparency and user autonomy, ensuring that users are always informed about how their data is being used. By giving users the knowledge of surveillance activities, we empower them with the choice of how to react, which can lead to a more trustful and efficient working environment. This balanced method enhances user experience, boosts productivity, and reinforces the importance of transparency in the workplace.
The application can be configured in several ways regarding user notifications and consent for surveillance activities:
  1. Notify the User Only: The application can be set up to simply inform the user that surveillance activities are being conducted. This option prioritizes transparency while not requiring user consent, which can be suitable for environments where monitoring is necessary for compliance or security reasons but where user consent is not feasible.
  2. Notify and Request Consent: This configuration elevates user autonomy by not only informing them about the surveillance activities but also requiring their consent to proceed. It's an approach that underscores a high level of respect for user privacy and control, making it ideal for contexts where individual rights and data protection are paramount.
  3. No Notification: Application not notify the user about the surveillance activities. This option could be applied in very specific and justified cases where disclosing surveillance could undermine its purpose, such as in certain high-security or investigative settings.
Each of these configurations offers different levels of transparency and control, allowing organizations to align the application's behavior with their policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical considerations.

2. New Feature: Livestream Pusher (Camera Media Source) Enhanced Data Pusher for RTSP Streams
Exciting news for our users – we've now integrated RTSP Data Pusher into our streaming solutions!
This powerful feature enhances our RTSP server by enabling it to receive external data sources and broadcast them as RTSP streams.   With support for TCP, UDP, and RTSP modes, our Data Pusher facilitates seamless audio and video streaming in RTP format.
If it is RTSP mode, it supports standard RTSP push stream, such as FFMPEG rtsp pusher.
ffmpeg -stream_loop -1 -re -i test.mp4 -vcodec libx264 -acodec copy -f rtsp rtsp://192.168.68.100:5554/ipc1-stream1/livepusher1

3. Improving overall software stability.
