- Security warnings on the video stream make selected incidents visible through CPU OSD.
- VMS/NVR alarm integration connects selected events to per-channel Motion alarms and per-device Alarm IN.
- Encrypted incident history retains event details and repetition counts without replaying previous alarms after restart.

- Clearer monitoring settings, grouped events, and an on-screen alert preview.
- AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption for local configuration and security-log protection.
- More reliable incident saving, source filtering, and overlapping alert handling.
ITVDesk 10.9 update overview
Version 10.9.0 (Build 7.7.11.2) - Released on September 30, 2026
New Features
- Added Security Monitor for Windows protection status and security incidents. Monitor antivirus health, Microsoft Defender protection and Windows Firewall status from ITVDesk.
- Added Microsoft Defender event monitoring. Detect threats, remediation failures, blocked changes to protected settings, Controlled Folder Access, ASR and Network Protection blocks.
- Added monitoring of important Windows application and system events. Receive alerts for application crashes, unexpected service stops and file-system corruption.
- Added optional monitoring of failed Windows network and Remote Desktop sign-ins. View repeated-attempt counts and receive an additional alert for a successful sign-in following repeated failures.
- Added security warnings directly on the video stream through CPU OSD. Select incident severity, adjust display duration and keep protection warnings visible until resolved.
- Connected Security Monitor to existing VMS/NVR alarm outputs. Selected events can trigger Motion alarms per channel and Alarm IN per device, independently of video warnings.
- Added encrypted incident history with event details and repetition counts. Review recorded incidents after restarting ITVDesk without replaying previous alarms.
Improvements
- Simplified Security Monitor configuration with clear protection, video alert and incident sections, collapsible details and per-channel settings.
- Improved alert messages with available application, service and threat names for easier identification on the video stream.
- Grouped repeated events to reduce duplicate notifications and keep the incident list easier to review.
- Added an on-screen alert preview and consistent security display settings across Main and Sub streams of the same channel.
- Strengthened local configuration and security-log protection with AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption.
- Improved default security display settings for newly added cameras while preserving existing camera settings.
Fixes
- Fixed pending security incidents being lost during normal application shutdown.
- Corrected incident filtering so the list shows the latest records for the selected monitoring sources.
- Improved handling of overlapping alerts so one expired warning does not clear another active alarm.
Upgrade Notes
- Defender protections must be configured in Windows. Windows sign-in monitoring requires enabled auditing and permission to read the Security log.
- Existing supported local records are read automatically and converted to the new encrypted format on successful save. Keep a configuration backup before upgrading; older versions cannot read files saved in the new format.
