ITVDesk 11.2 update overview

Version 11.2.0 - Released on November 3, 2026

New Features

  • Added on-demand video Preview before saving camera settings for combined layouts, Screen Live, Application Windows, Video Device and From file sources.

Check the selected source, layout, crop and scaling without saving settings. Screen Live supports Selected Area; Application Windows preview is available on Windows.

Preview is video-only, runs at up to 5 FPS for 30 seconds and stops when closed. A video device already in use may be unavailable for preview.

  • Added Stack vertically for Wall 1x1 combined streams, arranging the two sources top/bottom instead of left/right.
  • Added Mirror horizontally for Wall 2x1 combined streams, switching between a large left tile with two smaller right tiles and the mirrored Wall 1x2 arrangement.

Both options are available when adding or editing a camera and are retained after an application restart. Tile sources and individual scaling/crop settings are preserved, with matching preview geometry and tile labels. CPU and supported GPU composition paths handle the new layouts; existing saved layout values remain unchanged.

  • Added RTCP receiver-report monitoring with per-session round-trip time (RTT) and video packet-loss statistics in channel and profile tooltips.

Uses reports from compatible NVR/VMS clients on unicast streams, helping users inspect connection response time and video packet loss, particularly over UDP.

Unavailable metrics show a dash instead of an assumed zero; reports expire after 30 seconds and statistics reset when a new session is established. SRTCP statistics are not included in this release.

Uses existing RTCP traffic without additional network probes or changes to video/audio transmission and ONVIF Events delivery.

  • Added live RTSP session details to channel and profile tooltips, including client IP address, profile, TCP/UDP/HTTP transport, connection duration and outgoing bitrate.

Connection durations support multiple days, refresh while the tooltip is visible and restart when a new session is established.

  • Added ofps (Output FPS) per RTSP session in channel and profile tooltips, including encoded and native/passthrough video.

ofps shows the measured outgoing video frame rate, rather than the configured target or frames displayed by the receiving VMS.

  • Added a total outgoing traffic indicator in the status bar. Click to switch between Mb/s, kB/s, active RTSP sessions, total data sent and RTSP server uptime.

Total data sent includes closed sessions since RTSP server startup. Uptime supports multiple days and restarts with the RTSP server.

Rates show outgoing RTP traffic. The indicator keeps a stable width and is separated from the keyboard shortcut.

  • Added Auto check updates control, an immediate availability check when enabled, visible download progress and a cancel-download button.

Manual Check now remains available, and enabling automatic checks resumes the existing periodic schedule.

  • Added optional Bonjour/mDNS discovery under Compatibility, allowing Bonjour-compatible tools to find running ITVDesk camera HTTP/HTTPS and RTSP/RTSPS services on the local network.

Advertisements include the actual listening address and port, Web path or primary video stream path, with a computer-name.local hostname when available. Discovery starts only when enabled and releases its network resources when disabled.

  • Added ONVIF VideoAnalytics metadata for Application Monitoring and Security Monitor, allowing compatible VMS/NVR clients to store analytics alongside video and find associated recordings.

Application alerts can describe the real foreground window, its bounding box and application name. Security analytics describe the active on-video warning region and its text.

Display, text indexing and search depend on the receiving VMS; application names are not guaranteed searchable keywords.

  • Added independent Motion output control for Application Monitoring.

Motion recording triggers can be disabled while retaining application detection, local history, video alerts and enabled analytics output.

  • Added ONVIF CPU usage monitoring, allowing compatible VMS/NVR clients to receive computer processor load updates for centralized system monitoring.
  • Added ONVIF LastReboot events, allowing compatible VMS/NVR clients to identify when each ITVDesk camera was last restarted.
  • Added flexible Application Windows selection by full title, partial title or program name, with automatic window detection and recovery.

Title-based streams show NO VIDEO when the title no longer matches and automatically resume when it matches again.

  • Implemented "ONVIF TLS Configuration Add-on 2.0" functionality with RSA/ECC key support and modern certificate signing.

Compatible VMS clients can generate certificate signing requests (CSR) and upload, assign or replace HTTPS server certificates.

Improvements

  • Aligned the Wall 2x1 setup preview with the actual stream layout: the large tile is on the left by default and moves to the right when Mirror horizontally is enabled.
  • Standardized the desktop UI on a single Fusion-based dark appearance, removing the skin selector and alternative skins.
  • Improved channel and profile list readability with the original source icon, a separate active-session eye indicator, session counts and increased row height for easier selection.
  • Clarified runtime hardware information in stream tooltips with Capture/Encode or Decode/Encode CPU/GPU status, including file decoding.

Direct output and unavailable information are distinguished from CPU/GPU processing; the previous GPU streams counter was removed.

  • Extended the desktop surveillance notice vertical-position range to -100 pixels and removed the separate Terminal shortcut from the main window.
  • Improved delivery of standard ONVIF MotionAlarm and CellMotion notifications through RTSP metadata, linked to the corresponding video source.

MotionAlarm metadata reports the initial state and subsequent state changes without repeating unchanged states. Existing ONVIF Events delivery is preserved.

  • Improved analytics overlay positioning and update timing for desktop streams.

Overlays update up to once per second, with immediate updates when an alert begins or ends. Window outlines follow the monitored screen and output resolution; hidden or unavailable windows do not show an outline.

Pointer analytics can operate without Mouse Move/Click Motion triggers, and Application Monitoring window analytics remain independent of its Motion checkbox.

  • Improved analytics text handling for application names and security warnings, including names containing special characters.

Removed the experimental ITVDesk application event export; standard Motion notifications, local monitoring history and analytics objects remain available.

  • Simplified Application Monitoring mode names, timing explanations and multiline tooltips, and made the application settings more compact.

Application Monitoring and Security Monitor now use the same Show alerts on video label. The Motion Event API token and copy control are disabled and the token is hidden when the API option is off.

  • Updated new-camera defaults: analytics output, keyboard Motion, Application Monitoring Motion and Security Monitor Motion are enabled; mouse-click Motion is disabled.

New Application Monitoring policies use Unlisted application is in focus, a 3-second activation delay and video alerts enabled. Monitoring still requires explicit activation, and existing saved selections and durations are preserved.

  • Extended Use ports 80/443 to select standard HTTP and HTTPS ports together, with availability checks for enabled services before applying the change.

Existing HTTP/HTTPS enabled states are preserved, and conflict messages identify the occupied port on the local computer.

  • Reduced ONVIF processor-load update frequency to a 30-second sampling interval after initialization, sending subsequent notifications only when the value changes.
  • Corrected automatic ONVIF time-zone settings, including fractional-hour offsets and supported Windows daylight-saving rules.

Saved time-zone choices are retained, and the settings show a readable UTC offset.

  • Improved Bonjour discovery reliability, including name conflicts and network address or port changes. Only running services are advertised.
  • Improved RTSP metadata resource cleanup and reduced temporary diagnostic logging.
  • Improved Application Windows capture with GPU acceleration on supported Windows systems and automatic compatibility fallback.
  • Improved Desktop Windows capture with GPU acceleration on supported Windows systems.
  • Improved audio processing efficiency.
  • Improved ONVIF Add-on 1.0 support.
  • Reduced CPU usage when saving settings and running event tests.
  • Improved HTTP/HTTPS communication security and stability for ONVIF services, snapshot retrieval, Web access and RTSP-over-HTTP/HTTPS connections.

Strengthened request validation and file access protection while retaining existing stream addresses and connection settings.

Fixes

  • Fixed a crash when closing or timing out concurrent local replay sessions for the same recording.

Playback sessions can seek, pause and close independently.

  • Corrected local HDD/ANR recordings being reported as containing a metadata playback track when no analytics metadata is stored locally.

Recorded video/audio playback and links between POS transactions and recordings are retained. Live analytics delivery remains available; playback and search of metadata saved by a VMS are handled by that VMS.

  • Corrected From file video initialization, avoiding redundant decoder setup and related no frame warnings while preserving native/passthrough output.
  • Corrected AAC audio timestamp handling for From file sources without changing the audio content.
  • Corrected full-range YUV420 video conversion to preserve the intended color range and eliminate repeated deprecated pixel-format warnings on this conversion path.
  • Corrected Windows RTSP/RTSPS status checks to avoid showing a service as running when it is not listening for connections.
  • Fixed stale session entries and connection handling when switching RTSP-over-HTTP transports.
  • Eliminated a startup warning when cameras initialize before the RTSP service.
  • Corrected ONVIF metadata configuration responses when no topic filter is selected.
  • Fixed the Video Loss test to finish in the recovered state when recovery is enabled and preserve the final state for subsequent initialization notifications.
  • Fixed Application Monitoring history and status refresh when opening its tab, and improved cleanup when closing event settings.
